    Raphael Haas

    CEO

    Raphael Haas is the CEO of Melting Point Solutions. In this role, Raphael is responsible for strategic direction and day-to-day operation of the firm. Prior to Melting Point, Raphael spent 14 years in M&A and private equity. In his previous role, Raphael was a Director and Head of the Financial Services M&A practice at Kidron Corporate Advisors, a boutique M&A and advisory firm. Raphael led dozens of transactions in the asset management industry and served as General Partner on two Private Equity funds. Prior to Kidron, Raphael served as Director of Corporate Development of a publicly-traded hedge fund in London, Integrated Asset Management. In that role, Raphael led the acquisitive growth of the company. Raphael holds an MBA from Columbia University, where he graduated first in his class. He received an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, where he graduated magna cum laude. Raphael holds Series 7, 63 and 79 security licenses.

    Joe Dios

    Managing Director

    José (Joe) Dios is a Managing Director of Melting Point Solutions. In this role Joe focuses on growing the Melting Point presence in the wealth management and family office channels. In addition, he consults with a number of financial services enterprises and advises families on asset allocation and manager selection. Joe has 30 years of experience advising private clients on their investments. After selling Winter Capital, a wealth management boutique he co-founded, to Citigroup in 2000, he held various senior positions at the Citigroup Private Bank ultimately being appointed as the CEO of Global Hedge Strategies. Prior to Winter Capital he was Head of Private Clients at Global Asset Management (USA) and prior to that worked at Brown Brothers Harriman. Most recently Joe ran portfolio management at Sciens Capital and he co-founded and was the CEO of OpenArc Asset Management, an independent wealth management firm.

    Chuck Doppelt

    Managing Director

    Chuck Doppelt is a Managing Director of Melting Point Solutions. In this role, Chuck focuses on growing the wealth management channel. In addition, Chuck oversees the auction process and certain buyer/seller relationships. Prior to joining Melting Point, Chuck spent three years at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in the San Francisco office working with entrepreneurs on investment strategy, tax planning, liquidation preparation and monitoring ongoing holdings. While at Barclays Chuck advised clients on investing in alternative investments, including: Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Venture, and Structured Products. Prior to Barclays, Chuck worked in systems engineering for Ford Motor Company and Strategy Consulting for Capgemini Consulting. Chuck has both a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from UC Berkeley. Chuck has earned the right to use the CFA credential. Chuck holds Series 7 and 66 security licenses.

    Doug Reid

    Managing Director

    Douglas M. Reid is a Managing Director of Melting Point Solutions. In this role Doug focuses on growing the Melting Point presence in the wealth management and family office channels. In addition, he advises several family offices on asset allocation and manager selection and consults to a number of financial services enterprises.  Doug has close to 30 years experience in the asset management industry having founded, built and managed several businesses along with running divisions of larger enterprises. He has spent the last 20 years predominately in the hedge fund business having worked at Soros Fund Management and Moore Capital Management and founding both Titan Advisors and Alstra Capital. Prior to that he was an investment banker for 10 years with Kleinwort Benson. Most recently Doug was the President of the Sciens Managed Account Platform and he co-founded and was the COO and CCO of OpenArc Asset Management, an independent wealth management firm. Doug has co-authored several industry white papers including the original “Sound Practices for Hedge Fund Managers”.

    Senior Advisor

    Owen Harper is a Senior Advisor to Melting Point Solutions. In this role, Owen is helping grow the private banking and family office segment of the firm. Prior to Melting Point, Owen served as Vice Chairman of JP Morgan Private Bank, helping build JP Morgan’s private banking practice nationally. Prior to JP Morgan, Owen served as a corporate and investment banker at Crocker National Bank, Blyth Eastman Dillon and Citibank New York. Owen completed the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development and holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Washington & Lee University. Owen holds Series 7 and 63 security licenses.

  • Ronald Pelosi

    Senior Advisor

    Ronald Pelosi serves as Senior Advisor to Melting Point Solutions. In this role, Ronald is helping grow the wealth manager and institutional segments of the firm. He is the Managing Director of Trenholm Associates, a consulting firm offering specialized services to companies in the financial industry. Ronald has an extensive background in the securities business, mutual funds, and private equity. In addition, he is an experienced Financial Industry Regulatory Authority mediator. Recently he served as a Senior Advisor to SoFi (Social Finance), student loans; Reputation.com, online reputation management; Menke and Associates, Employee Stock Ownership Plans. He was previously the President of Forward Funds, a diversified mutual fund group; CEO of Webster Investment Management Company. In executive search, he was a partner with Korn/Ferry International. Currently, Ronald is a standing guest lecturer on Mediation for Dispute Resolution at Stanford University. He graduated from Stanford with a BA in American History.
